Au clothing, formerly m i c h e l l e i s w e l l, is designed and produced by Portland native Michelle Lesniak Franklin. Au, the symbol for Gold on the Periodic Table of the Elements, often connotes strength, warmth, optimism, balance and intelligence, much like her clothing.
Starting with handbags in the late 90’s Michelle launched her first clothing line at Portland Fashion week in 2011, focusing on tailored pieces inspired by day to day wear with a street savvy edge. Statement pieces for today that transition into ‘gold favorites’ in the future, Au clothing can be summed up in two words: Geek Chic.
